  • Another day another pound

Today was the best Monday for sometime - the big boss was out so less interruptions

Last Friday I decided to write myself one of those list. The "To Do" list. I've tried various methods over the years. This was the most simple - on a large Post-It. Well it worked today and I've done the same for tomorrow. I live in great expeactations that one day I may become organised.

So what was so good about today? I simple got some work done. I decided to cancel one contract with a Local Authority, agree another with a service provider and tell an employee that I knew they had been fiddling there expenses so better make good the dosh before they leave!

I returned home somewhat later than expeacted. I had managed to clear up a little yesterday (after falling asleep watching the Sweeney) but returned to find middle daughter had dumped her colleage gear on one chair; was sitting on the other with an empty ploughmans butty carton and some of the red onion dropped on the chair. It was so nice to know that one's efforts go completely unnoticed (not).
  • That was it?

Another weekend draws to a close. It was full of great expectations. Sort out the house perhaps even book the annual holiday. But no friday started with bringing my daughter home from yet another party. Saturday commenced with taking third daughter and wife to buy a prom dress. Sunday with taking same daughter too and from railway station. When she phoned to pick her up I was asleep watching a re-run of the Sweeney. Bliss.

Perhaps next weekend will be better. I may do what I want to.
  • The Start

    I am an accountant.

    Yes you heard me.

    I admit it.

At times the term “accountant” seems to be akin to a Tax Collector or worse a Traffic Warden.

Well this is my diary my weblog.

I am also a husband and father of three daughters. I love them all.
